The brief
To help documentary makers, Iris and Edward, redesign their new home - a 1930s semi-detatched property in Herne Hill. Create a light, open feel and use existing furniture favourites in bold, primary colours with a retro pop flavour.
The solution
Create open plan kitchen diner with french windows onto the garden to allow more light into the rear of the house.
White out all the walls and use accent primary colours on feature walls.
Splashes of retro wallpaper - original vintage 'Popeye' design in the nursery, Orla Keilly in the bedroom.
Soften the high energy colour scheme with soft beige and cream.
The result - a space that reflects the personality of the owners.
