Brief
The vision of the owners was to bring nepalese cuisine to Kew, and to attract a local affluent and discerning audience by creating an ambience that would make the customer feel very much at home.
Solution
A simple, chic and contemporary interior, using muted tones creates a relaxed, calm and open space. The colour scheme offsets the rich and spicy colours of the food and the vibrant pink of the logo and menus. This is a classic contemporary space with a hint of Asian styling in the silver paisley wallpaper panels.
The space has been divided into dining zones and accomodates flexible party sizes. The overall capacity was increased from 42 to 50 covers through careful space planning, as well as finding space for additional customer toilets.
The exterior has been used as an inviting calling card to passers by, with the awning, planting and outdoor seating providing an attraction to customers attention, particularly during the summer.
The aim was to create an attractive, welcoming and enjoyable space, whilst maximising potential turnover to the business by:
increased number of covers
justifying premium menu items
