Free Spirit Interiors work on projects of any size, from major redevelopments to individual rooms, from construction work to final decorations and styling.
Choosing your designer:
We recommend that you choose your designer based on whether you like their portfolio. Budget is also central. Our prices start from £250 for a mood board and colour scheme. Further work on design specifications, tendering contractors and overseeing project management will be quoted based on the size of the project and once we have had a briefing with you.
We charge £75 for the initial meeting which is refundable against further work, as this meeting often takes 1-2 hours and will help you to start crystallising your ideas.
Stage One - Initial meeting (1-2 hours)
* Meeting in your home where we discuss your needs and show you examples of our work.
* We like to meet all the residents and carry out a joint exercise where we help to define your unique style.
Stage Two - Project confirmation
* Written quotation for our services including a summary of our understanding of your requirements.
* Issue a contract and deposit is payable as confirmation.
* Arrange a measured survey of the property as a start point for plan layouts.
Stage Three - Initial Design Presentation
* Create a mood board to reflect your personal style and a cohesive vision for the 'look and feel' of your home.
* Devise a personalised colour scheme containing samples of fabrics, wallcoverings, floor and wall surfaces which will be tailored with you to create final design schemes for each room.
* Provide CAD drawings to scale with suggested furniture layouts which are tailored to suit your needs.
* Suggest furniture items for your approval.
Stage Four - Design detailing for tender documents
Once the overall layouts, furniture ideas and materials have been agreed, detailed specifications are drawn up, to include as necessary:
* Building construction drawings
* Electrical plans
* Plumbing plans
* Smart Home wiring
* Decorations specifications
* Flooring specifications
* Soft furnishing instructions
* Joinery plans
* Detailed instructions to specialist furnishing suppliers
With these detailed drawings and specifications, we then get quotations from trades, suppliers and contractors.
Stage Five - Budget preparation
Following quotes from contractors and pricing of furnishings and materials, we prepare a full itemised budget for your approval.
Stage Six - Project Management
We oversee and co-ordinate trades and contractors to complete the works within timescales and agreed budgets.
Free Spirit Interiors Ltd carries full Professional Indemnity and Liability insurance.
